Wolf

Wolf
Level 2 (+2)
"Look, I know you want to run, but that’s what they want, and they’re faster than you anyways. Also you’re a halfling, meaning they’re used to catching creatures your size anyways. Pull out your torch...it’s going to be a long night."
——The Ranger Saderoo Greybeard and his Halfling companion being accosted by a pack of starving wolves.
Wolves are lupine pack animals that utilize their sharp teeth to tear into the flesh of their prey. Their fur color can have a variety of ranges based on the region they are found, such as white, grey, brown, yellow, and even black. These colors can also change depending on the time of year to provide better camouflage when hunting. A typical wolf can weigh from 90 to 100 lbs. They stand roughly 2 ½ feet at the shoulder and are about 5 feet in length from tail to snout. Wolves are cunning and intimidating hunters. They approach a target stealthily and wait for it to notice them once they are in an ideal position. Once their prey is frightened enough, they will attempt to scare it into fleeing, requiring the stimulus of a running victim to hunt. When this occurs, the Wolves will chase down their quarry, bearing down with their powerful jaws on a vital area, eventually ripping the creature to pieces while they feed.
