Duration: Until the next Sunrise or Sunset or until dismissed, dispelled or disrupted.
Area of Effect: [20 + 10 per Divine Rank]ft diameter area centered on you.
Effect: You sprinkle the water about the area and chant prayers specific to your deity. At the completion of the ritual the area is dedicated to your deity, binding divine energies upon the site. The area is blanketed with a faint alignment aura appropriate to the deity. If battle takes place within the consecrated area, allies of the deity are granted a +1 to Tide of Battle. Creatures opposed to the deity suffer a -2 penalty to saving throws while within the area. Additionally, no creature of different alignment than the deity can be created or summoned within the area.

If the area contains an altar, shrine, or similar permanent structure devoted to your deity, the +1 to Tide of battle increases to +2, and the penalty to saving throws is increased to -4. If the area is already consecrated or contains a permanent structure devoted to a different deity the ritual automatically fails.

Consecrate may be removed by a Deconsecrate ritual.
