Description

Giant Spider Venom appears as a mildly green, translucent liquid. In order for it to effect a victim it must pierce through the skin and enter the bloodstream. Once this occurs it will slowly erode the target's flesh from the inside out. The poison is not particularly potent as far as poisons go, however it is easily obtained and potentially lethal if injected in large doses. A hearty individual is able to resist the effects of a Giant Spider bite on their own after a little while, as not enough can be injected at any one time to do lasting, permanent damage. However, when mixed in larger quantities along with a coagulant, it can easily kill if left untreated.

Lore

Among the most common and cheap of lethal poisons, these chemicals are among the first fluids both healers and alchemists must brew to understand the nature of poisons. While many types of poison are illegal, Giant Spider Venom is sold as a common alchemist's item in most cities, for the relatively mild properties of the stuff can be used in medical professions for the development of anti-venom, in addition to its more traditional applications.
