Description

Scorpion Venom appears as a slightly murky but otherwise clear liquid, and is taken from a variety of scorpions. Scorpion Venom features different levels of lethality depending on the breed, but the poisons tend to function the same way. This venom is a Neurotoxin that assaults the nervous system, paralyzing and potentially killing the victim. Very little poison is needed to affect even a large humanoid, so even brave warriors tread around these tiny insects with caution.

Lore

The use of Scorpion Venom is most commonly seen among Assassins Guilds, being pound for pound the most efficient, accessible and affordable poison available, especially among cultures that reside primarily in the desert. Extracting the poison is potentially dangerous, as the tail of the Scorpion must be caught to avoid being stung, then the abdomen is stimulated to release the poison from the glands. Even in areas where the substance is illegal the poison can be found, as many alchemists and skilled assassins can simply go capture some of the insects and extract the venom themselves.
