Controlling Undead Creatures
Undead Creatures can be created and/or controlled through the use of various Rituals and Powers. Once under your control, the Undead creature will remain under your control until it is destroyed, released by you, or the magic binding you to the Undead is broken by another creature or ability. This control remains regardless of the distance between you and the Undead, though you must be present in order to give commands.
While under your control, the creature is considered Enslaved and will follow your commands, though their abilities are limited based on their intelligence and nature. For example, a skeleton can follow simple instructions such as attack those creatures or guard this tomb, but he cannot differentiate between creatures of different races or recognize specific individuals. Likewise, a ghoul, which must feed on raw flesh, may be ill suited for guarding a tomb as it will eventually die from lack of food. Regardless of the intelligence of the Undead creature, it always recognizes its master instinctively, and will bend to your will and command (to the best of its ability).
Each Undead creature has an Undeath Rank. Regardless of your means for gaining control of an Undead, you must allocate 1 Stamina and 1 Resolve per Undeath Rank of the creature. For example, a Skeleton is Undeath rank 1, and requires 1 Stamina and 1 Resolve allocation to control. Alternatively, a Ghast has an Undeath rank of 3, and would therefore require 3 Stamina and 3 Resolve allocation to maintain control. If at any time you are no longer able to allocate the necessary energy, the creature is immediately released (if you have two or more undead controlled, you can choose which are released).
You may relinquish your control over an Undead creature at any time. If the Undead creature was Mindless, it will continue to follow the last order it was given until it is destroyed or controlled again (by you or another creature). If the target was not Mindless, then it becomes free-willed and may seek vengeance against the creature who controlled it. Additionally, if you die, the Undead under your control are automatically released.
