Description: A pressure plate is set into the floor. When the plate is stepped upon a dart is fired into the area.
Detect
Awareness DC: 25
Spot DC: 20
Detecting the Trap: There seems to be an unevenness to the floor.
Investigate DC: 15
Investigating the Area: A tile on the floor seems to be able to be depressed. With a check of 20 or higher, you notice a small hole in the wall, in line with the area.
Disarm
Disarm DC: 20
Disarming the Trap: The pressure plate can be stepped or jumped over depending on the size. Alternatively a board can be placed over the pressure plate so that the area will not be depressed.
Failure: Failing the Disarm DC by 6 or more triggers the trap. Otherwise, nothing happens.
Trigger
Triggering the Trap: If the pressure plate is depressed the dart will be fired.
Effect: The creature or object that disturbs the plate is subject to the following attack:
Target: Creature or object disturbing the plate
Attack: +10 vs. AC
Hit: The target takes 1d4+5 damage.
Variations: The dart may be alternatively coated with any wound or contact Poison of choice. Alternatively, there maybe multiple darts attached to the trigger so that multiple targets around the pressure plate are attacked.
