Free Action
Free Actions can be taken at any time, even on other creature’s turns. They never have recovery times, and can typically be used as frequently as desired with a few caveats:
- If a free action has a Trigger, it may only be used during the circumstance specified by the trigger (similar to Interruptive Actions). Additionally, a creature may only use a single Free or Interruptive action for each triggering circumstance.
- Like most other abilities, the effects of free actions do not stack with themselves, so repeated uses in the same situation are superfluous.
- Certain Status Effects can prevent you from taking free actions.
Example
Maxia the Rogue notices a troll rushing towards her. As a free action, Maxia drops her crossbow, and uses Quick Drawpreparing to draw her sword.
