Pain

You suffer Pain, making every action you take a little more difficult. Pain effects are written as Pain (X), with X indicating the degree of Pain you are in. For each level of Pain you are in, you are subject to the following effects:

• You suffer a -1 penalty to Attacks rolls for each level of Pain.
• You suffer a -1 penalty to Defenses for each level of Pain.

Pain effects are not cumulative, with only the greatest Pain effect applying. For example, if you are subject to Pain (3) from one effect, and Pain (1) from a second effect, the second effect does not increase your level of Pain.
