Description

Shock Cloaks tend to come in varying hues of blue, typically lighter colors. Every time it is used, the color becomes darker until it reaches a midnight blue, indicating it is out of energy. Many of these cloaks feature an ornate silver clasp in the shape of a lightning bolt, or sometimes the symbol of a common sky deity.

Lore

A Shock Cloak is not a terribly unique item, and is not even commonly seen amongst powerful individuals or adventurers. It has seen most use in the hands of wealthy young nobles who live in crowded citys, there parents providing them with a fashionable counter-measure against bullying, mugging and kidnappings. Still, the abilities found in a shock cloak are reportedly quite useful to races and creeds of all kinds, and it is not unheard of to find them in the hands of the powerful.
