Discern Location

Effect: You hold the crystal orb in hand and coat it with Magic Essence while focusing on the target. If the target is a creature you must either have seen that creature before or hold a possession of the creature's. If the target is an object you must have seen and touched it once before.

As you focus on the target, images will begin to form within the orb. These images will reveal the exact location of a creature or object (the name of its holding place, the specific geographic area of that holding place, and its exact location within that holding place). Once you have gained all information about the target's location, the ritual ends.

This ritual overcomes most methods of protection from detection, including all powers of Legendary level and below, as well as all Rituals of Ritual Casting Rank 8 or less.
