Alchemist's Equipment

There are three levels of Alchemists Equipment, with more and better quality equipment in the higher levels. As a general rule, the higher the rank of the Potions or similar item you are attempting to create, the higher the level of equipent required for its production.

Novice Alchemist Equipment

Novice Alchemist Equipment contains a cauldron engraved with runes, a mortar and pestle, and various measuring bowls and other instruments. It typically costs approximately 500gp and weighs 100 lbs. in total. Novice Equipment may be used to create potions of Rank 4 or less.

Advanced Alchemist Equipment

Advanced Alchemist Equipment contains everything in the Novice Equipment plus a Still, an Oil Press, and a few other extraction tools. It typically costs approximately 1,000gp and weighs 200 lbs. Advanced Equipment may be used to create potions of Rank 7 or less.

Master Alchemist Equipment

Master Alchemist Equipment contains everything in the Advanced Equipment, plus additional cauldrons of varying sizes (and materials) and other instruments. It typically costs approximately 2,000gp and weighs 500 lbs. Master Equipment may be used to create all potions.
