Arming Doublet
Similar to the Gamberson, an Arming Doublet is a suit of thickly padded armor made to be worn under heavier armor. It provides some protection on its own, but it is intended to be used to protect the wearer from the plates and heavy metal links of heavier armor. The Gamberson is also equipped with built in arming points meant to better link plates together to ensure the stability of the armor worn over the quilted suit.
