Bone Armor

Bone Armor is among the heaviest and bulkiest of non-metal armors, made from the assembled bones of various creatures sewn into leather or hide to provide most of the protection. This armor is often arranged in such a way as to mimic the skeleton of the creature it was made from, as the arrangement of the bones provide protection to vital areas naturally. The chest and back are laden with rib bones, in addition to smaller bones placed in between the gaps of the larger bones. The legs and arms are each lined with several long, thick bones acting as plates to deflect heavy attacks. Due to the hard shape of individual bones, these armors tend to be more unwieldy than most, the structure of the creature being used for the armor rarely matching with that of the wearer.

Bone Armor is most often seen in primitive, tribal cultures, often worn for intimidation just as much as protection. This armor is also favored by the religious leaders of these people, many of them believing that the spirits of their slain enemies rest within the bones, granting them power and a deeper connection to the spirits or gods they worship.
