Corded

Corded Armor is woven from thick plant fibers, such as hemp, but other plants can be used. This type of armor is fairly malleable, if a bit heavy and cumbersome for the protection it offers. A suit of Corded Armor will typically cover the body, arms and legs of the wearer. The legs are covered by a thick woven skirt that provides all around protection to vulnerable areas. The heavy weave stops at the elbows and knees to make room for equipment on the hands and feet that are generally less stiff and lighter.

This armor is favored by cultures that do not have access to a great deal of metal, or the knowledge of how to craft such equipment. Barbarians, Halflings and even Elves have been known to favor corded armor depending on the region.
