Cutlass

The Cutlass initially gained popularity from its rumored widespread use among pirates and sea-faring warriors who brought the weapons back home from other areas of the world. They have an average length and aren't overly heavy, designed to slash at foes with a curved blade. The handle usually comes with a guard that wraps over the hand to protect the wielder.
