Dwarven Full Plate Mail
This armor is made of perfectly measured and tempered metal plates, often times appearing as if there are no gaps in the armor at all. Dwarven Full Plate Mail can be made with steel, but is most often made with precious metals such as Adamantine or Mithral, since the skill and time required to build such a masterpiece would be considered a waste were it used on lesser metals, according to Dwarven smiths. The heavy and extremely resilient plates of the armor are backed by an extra padded suit of finely crafted chain mail, with numerous smaller metal plates attached to the links at key points where gaps in the Dwarven plate would otherwise appear obvious. These armors feature plate work on almost every area of the body, artfully designed to appear as if the wearer was forged from metal and often times detailed with the likeness of legendary beasts, gauntlets that look like a Dragon's talons, or plated greaves that resemble a Minotaur's hooves.
Considered by almost all to be the finest metal workers among the mortal races, Dwarves created Dwarven Full Plate Mail as the pinnacle of armorsmithing technique. Such suits can take years, even decades to craft, most of which are usually made for elite Dwarven Warriors, and very rarely forged for someone outside of their race.
