Full Plate Mail
This armor is considered by most races as the pinnacle of armorsmithing. Full Plate armor features an all encompassing suit of steel plates, forged to the specific size of the wearer. It is made up of a chest and back plate, with arm, leg and shoulder plates as well as plated greaves and gauntlets. The plates are designed in such a way as to eliminate most gaps in the armor while still allowing movement. These suits are additionally supported by a backing of full chain mail, further backed by a quilted suit of armor to resist impact and protect any vulnerabilities in the armor. Every suit of Full Plate Mail also features a well made (and often ornate) close faced metal helm.
These armors are highly favored by royalty and knights, although some high profile adventurers and warlords have been known to use them. Every suit of Full Plate must be forged to custom specifications in order for it to function ideally for the wearer, and given the time and resources required to make such armor, only the wealthiest of warriors can afford one. Since most of these armors are made with an individual in mind, they are also quite often detailed with various designs and crests important to the person or their family.
