Rapier

A rapier is a long, thin bladed sword often featuring a protective basket hilt. While it is designed primarily for piercing, thrusting attacks it features sharpened edges that can be used to slash at an opponent if need be. This weapon was developed during a more civilized era of history where walking around with bladed weapons were as much a form of decoration as they were protection.
