Charmed
You are charmed, and treat the individual who charmed you as your closest friend, considering their words and actions under a forgiving light normally reserved for family and loved ones. You are subject to the following effects:
- You have Rank 3 of Fondness (losing any ranks of Hate or Fear) for the creature who charmed you (i.e. the Charmer).
- You choose your actions based on your new relationship with the Charmer. You take suggestions from the Charmer readily, but will not act against your nature or ideals.
- While feelings toward the Charmer have changed, your feelings towards other creatures (friend or foe) remain unchanged.
- You are aware of your surroundings and can act according to your own free will, simply having a distorted view of the Charmer.
- In non-combat situations, you are helpful and protective of the Charmer.
- In combat, you treat the Charmer as your ally for powers and effects, attempting to help and protect the Charmer as you would an ally.
- The Charmed effect may end if the Charmer attacks you or otherwise causes direct harm to you.
At the GM's discretion, if the Charmer says or does something that is contrary to your "Fondness" for each other, or takes a hostile action towards you, the Charm may be automatically broken. When the Charm effect ends, you are aware of your actions and that you have been Charmed (unless otherwise stated). If you are attacked or directly harmed by the Charmer, the Charmed effect automatically ends.
