Marty charms a mother red dragon. While charmed, the dragon considers Marty to be one of her hatchlings, and feels the need to protect him. She therefore confines him to the nest and growls threateningly at Marty’s other allies nearby. If she felt sufficiently threatened by them, she would attack Marty’s allies without hesitation. Depending on her intelligence, she may even breathe fire on Marty and his allies, believing Marty, as a hatchling, to be immune to fire damage.
Marty charms a local greedy merchant. While charmed, the merchant gives Marty a fantastic deal on his prized wares, citing a family discount. The merchant might even offer to buy Marty lunch or bring him home to dinner. It is unlikely, however, that the merchant will simply give Marty whatever he wants, because it is in his immediate nature to be greedy.
