Enthralled

You are Enthralled, making you unusually fascinated and obsessed with another creature, to the exclusion of other people including allies. You treat the enthralling creature as a trusted leader, whose commands and suggestions you should follow implicitly. You are aware of your surroundings and can act according to your own free will, simply having a distorted view of the world. You are subject to the following effects:

  • You are considered to have Rank 5 Trust Disposition (losing any ranks of Hate or Doubt) towards the enthralling creature.
  • You are considered to have Rank 4 Fondness Disposition (losing any ranks of Fear or Hate), so you strive to please the enthralling creature, acting for their benefit.
  • If you have any ranks in Trust and/or Fondness towards another creature, you are considered to have, at best, Rank 1 in the relevant disposition. Even if you maintain a positive disposition towards the creature, you will readily act against them at the will of the enthralling creature (possibly making them enemies at the request of the enthralling creature, or if the enthralling creature is threatened).
  • In combat, you treat the enthralling creature as your ally for powers and effects and attempt to help and protect them as you would any ally.
  • In non-combat situations, you are helpful and protective of the enthralling creature, readily acquiescing to their requests or command.

Note: When the Enthrall effect ends, you are aware of your actions that you took while affected, and that you have been Enthralled (unless otherwise stated).

A Trust Misplaced

"Lyra, it's me, Jareth. You remember, don't you? The countless nights spent under the stars, the dragons we've slain?" Jareth pleaded, his sword lowered and eyes brimming with desperation.

"Of course I remember, Jareth," Lyra replied with an affectionate smile, her hand resting lightly on her dagger. "But things change, and sometimes the past must be sacrificed for a brighter future. You see, Elzaron believes you are a threat, and who am I to question the judgment of someone as magnificent as him? So, with a heavy heart, I must end our shared tale here. Please forgive me, dear friend."
