Possessed
Another creature has inhabited your body and uses it to take actions of its own. When you are Possessed, you are subject to the following effects:
- You cannot move any part of your body or take any physical action (including speaking).
- You may take actions that are purely mental and do not require movement of any kind (this includes the Recovery Action).
When you are possessed, the possessing creature gains the following benefits:
- The possessing creature can utilize your body to take any physical actions you can. While it cannot spend your Energy or Karma, it may still spend its own on these actions. When making attacks, the possessing creature may utilize your attack statistics or its own (whichever are better).
- Any attacks made on the possessing creature that target AC, Touch, Fortitude, or Reflex, instead target you. Will attacks can target the possessing creature as normal.
- Effects that prevent you from taking actions (such as Dazed, Stupefied, or Unconscious) do not prevent the possessing creature from utilizing your body to take actions.
- Effects that prevent the possessing creature from taking actions (such as Dazed, Stupefied, or Unconscious) temporarily allow you to regain control of your body. As soon as these effects wear off, the possessing creature regains control.
- The possessing creature may choose to leave your body at any time as a Free Action. This immediately ends the Possessed condition.
- Alternatively, if the possessing creature is rendered Helpless it is forced to leave your body (ending the Possessed condition). The possessing creature may also be forced to leave through the use of certain powers and effects, such as Turn Undead, Ward Against Evil, and Exorcism.
Special: A single creature can only Possess one creature (or object) at a time.
