Radiant Damage

"Do not fear, hideous creature, you only need walk into the light.........and be BUUUURRRRRNNNNNEEEED!"
——Razagad Halowstep, Father of the Punishing Truth

Radiant power is often mistaken as goodly aligned holy magic, but it is neither good nor evil and is instead a focused energy of life that burns through undead flesh like a hot dagger through butter. As such it is not exclusive to goodly magic users, but is still an effective tool against undead and a few unholy monsters. Neutral clerics, and even a few evil ones, have been known to favor this shimmering, almost blinding energy.

In its raw form, Radiant energy is harmless to living creatures. If it is directed towards a living creature, it is often experienced as a tingling or warm sensation. When it is properly shaped and directed (a difficult task), it even forms a basis for healing magics. However, as unleashed energy, it becomes a powerful weapon against the undead, ripping apart the dark necrotic energies that bind such creatures together.

Special Rules:

Radiant damage typically only deals damage to undead and similar creatures.
