Wind Storm

Wind Storms on their own are not particularly dangerous to most adventurers, but they can hamper the flight of some creatures, impose penalties on Ranged Weapon Attacks, Listen checks, and can create gusts that can push creatures back or knock them prone.

Mild Wind Storm: Imposes a -2 penalty to Ranged Weapon Attacks and imposes a -2 penalty to Listen checks.
Heavy Wind Storm: Imposes a -5 penalty to Ranged Weapon Attacks and a -5 penalty to Listen checks. Flying creatures are typically grounded.
Gusts of Wind: The GM determines the strength of a Gust of Wind (usually only occurring during Heavy Wind Storms), based on the size of creature it effects (Large or smaller). The largest creature the gust effects will be pushed 5ft, adjusting the distance of all smaller creatures based on their Size.

Heavy Rain is often accompanied by a Wind Storm.
