"The power contained in this creation was born of the knowledge of four masters of their art. Rather ironic that it should fall into the hands of a novice, don't you think?"
——Halaron, The Black Zephyr

Description

The Apprentice Evoker's Staff looks as if it has seen a great deal of use, but is nevertheless in fine condition. The staff is made of a sturdy oak, lacquered with an enchanted preserving substance that both fortifies the wood and helps to seal in the magic. It is topped with a beautiful silk cord from which hangs a charm that represents the school of Evocation.

Lore

Despite its name, the Apprentice Evoker's Staff was created by a master evoker who specialized in one element. Frustrated with his lack of versatility, he enlisted several other powerful wizards to invest their energy in to the weapon so that a wielder might gain use of four of the primary elements. Once the weapon was completed, however, a battle ensued between the great spellcasters, and all four simultaneously destroyed each other in a fantastic explosion that left a crater in the earth the size of a small town. The only survivor in the area, the master's apprentice, approached the battlefield after the noise had stopped. He found the weapon lying at the center of the crater, completely unharmed. He claimed it as his own and eventually used its power to become a respectable mage in his own right.
