"This is a tale of great sorrow, mired in greys and half-truths. A tale of great men and how they must face judgement when not even the gods may approach their transgressions."
——Cyril Valour, famed poet and bard

Description

This massive, red-tinted, black bladed sword curves backwards at the tip. The front of the blade is razor sharp with wicked serrated edges. Three large holes run down the flat of the blade When the sword draws blood, it gathers the life force of the victim and stores the memory of it's past sins in a crystal skull that serves as a pommel. The life force of a victim can bee seen inside the pommel in the form of swirling blood.

Lore

This woeful blade was used by a ruthless headsman, perhaps the only famous executioner the world has ever known. He garnered his fame for volunteering to serve the realms as executioner of high ranking church members and royalty who had committed terrible sins against man. In order to properly slay and condemn such people, the blade had to be imbued with terrible, unholy powers capable of piercing divine protections. It also had to be wielded by an individual with the strength of will to use the weapon for its intended purpose. The overwhelming evil within the sword places a growing burden on the user that corrupts the bearer, adding the sins of his victims to his own.
