Boots of Speed

Description

These boots can come in a variety of colors based on the material they were constructed from. However, they all share several traits, a strong yet thin metal lining along the outer edges of the feet and a heavy and durable sole with the image of an animal known for speed imprinted on it. These boots are of extremely high quality and never appear to wear down.

Lore

Boots of Speed are always made from the body of an infamously fast creature, such as a cheetah or horse. Although it is not the hide of these creatures that makes up the physical boot, this is typically done with high quality, enchanted leather. The essence of these creatures has been infused into the boots, bestowing the gifts they had in life to those who wear them. The first pair ever constructed was actually made by accident. As an elven artificer was attempting to simply craft footwear that would last far longer than normal, his beloved house cat jumped on to his work table as it was prone to doing at the worst possible moment during the magical infusion process, and the rest is history.
