These leather bracers are inlaid with a small, diamond shaped plate of silver in their center. More powerful bracers have intricate patterns in the leather, and the silver plates become more ornate, sometimes encrusted with sapphires or rubies. Most believe this helps to bind the magic.

Lore

Bracers of Armor are enormously popular items, for obvious reasons. Powerful dignitaries, kings, unarmored adventurers, nobles, high ranking clergy, and any person with some wealth who finds themselves potentially in harm's way has at one time or another looked to acquire a pair of these bracers. Ironically, these items were first conceived of by a dwarven armorsmith of great renown, who usually built sturdy yet cumbersome products.
