Description

The Fiery Gambit is an expensive looking weapon. It features a long, golden blade with a short, bright orange leather covered handle and a golden pommel in the shape of a burning meteor streaking through the sky. When its power is enacted and the knife thrown, the blade briefly takes the form of a searing hot bolt of fire, releasing the energy into its target before resuming its normal shape.

Lore

This weapon is rumored to be forged from the metal of a comet that fell to the material plane from beyond the sky. Since there was no way to disprove this, especially given the weapon's amazing properties, this tales is generally considered fact. Ironically, this weapon has been known to change hands by accident quite often, as a nearby witness seeing the weapon used in combat will often go to retrieve the blade for themselves before the owner can reclaim it.
