"It hums with such overwhelming energy. I am almost afraid to use it in battle, that the subsequent raging cacophony might deafen me."

Description

This magnificent Warhammer is somewhat larger than other weapons of its type, but weighs less than a dagger. The base metal is covered in deeply etched runes in an ancient elemental language. The shaft all the way to the head of the hammer is wrought in pale-blue silver rings that crackle with small currents of electricity. When striking with this mighty weapon, the energy contained within is released in the fury of a jolt of lightning and thunder impacting against the target.

Lore

This weapon is suspected to have divine origins, although anyone inspecting its abilities with a knowledge of the magical arts can determine that it replicates eldritch magic more closely. The power it generates, coupled with the divine writings etched around the weapon suggest that it may have been created by more than one being, perhaps a collaborative effort between the two types of magic. There was once a wizard who claimed that he actually created the weapon by binding an ancient and great elemental to his tower and forced it to lend its essence in its creation, but he could not validate his claims as the weapon was halfway across the world in service to a wind cleric when he made this outrageous statement.
