Description

This ring might at first appear as a bit of discarded, ruined, moldy flesh. It is in fact made out of petrified troll hide, the magic sealed within.

Lore

The creation of this ring was consummated on a bribe, a little known artificer found a troll willing and “reasonable” enough to sell a bit of his flesh for an experiment. He was compensated with 100 farm goats, a price most would consider to be a steal given the results. At first there were problems. Initially, the ring would grow too much and completely expand over the flesh of the wearer, consuming the subject from the outside in. After much trial and error, and a few very angry villagers, the magic of the ring was perfected with the addition of a petrifying reagent that sealed the growing nature of the ring, but still allowed the healing properties of the trollskin to seep into the wearer.
