Spellcaster's Ring
"See, Robald?! You're not bad with the elements at all, your spells are magnificent! It's just your aim that is terrible!"
——Sorcerers Apprentice, jesting at the expense of his classmate
Description
This ring appears to be made of obsidian stone with a single, finely cut amethyst gem inset. The gem glows brightly when fully charged and grows dimmer as its power is used throughout the day
Lore
This ring was created as a testing aid for wizards and sorcerers during trials of eldritch mastery. Since the requirements are quite extensive this ring was lent to those testing out of apprenticeship to provide them with extra energy to cast their spells, as well as aid in accuracy. The goal of an apprentices test is not necessarily to demonstrate their effectiveness with their magic, but to prove that they can cast their spells properly.
