Basic Mental Method [Metacast]

Prerequisites: Mental Rank 5

Casting Prerequisite: To gain the benefit of this Metacast ability you must be Rank 6 or higher in the philosophy relevant to the power you are casting.

Cost: 3 Resolve

Effect: With a quick surge of energy you infuse your spell with excess power, giving it just enough strength to leap to an additional target. The primary effect of the power now includes one additional target. Only powers that target specific creatures or objects (i.e. not those that affect an area) can be affected by Chain Cast. If the power has a range of touch, then you may touch an additional target, otherwise the additional target must be within range of the spell, and within 30ft of the first target. Powers that affect creatures with a secondary effect based on the primary target, also apply the effects to the additional target. For example, a Chain Cast Knife of Ice explodes and affects creatures around both primary targets. Note that a secondary target is only affected by the power once, even if secondary effects overlap.

Special: Only one Metacast ability may be used on a single casting of a power.
