Target: One creature
Effect: Attacking the weapon, rather than the opponent, is an undervalued tactic. Utilizing unusual angles and exploiting defensive gaps with surprising speed, you can potentially free a weapon from its owner's hand, leaving them defenseless. Make an opposed weapon attack against the target. Items are treated as improvised weapons for purposes of this roll. Use the following to determine the result of your contest:
- Target Wins by 10 or more: You fail to disarm your opponent and you are disarmed, your weapon dropped at your feet.
- Target Wins: You fail to disarm your opponent.
- You Win: You disarm your opponent, causing them to drop the item at their feet.
- You Win by 10 or more: You disarm your opponent and if you have a free hand, you may grab the item as a free action. Otherwise, the item is knocked 5 ft away.
Special: If your opponent is larger than you, it gains a +4 bonus to the disarm check for each Size Category larger than you. Alternatively, if your opponent is smaller than you, it suffers a -4 penalty to the disarm check for each Size Category smaller than you.
