Material Possession
Advanced Undeath Scourge [Supernatural]
Prerequisites: Undeath Rank 4
Disciplines: Haunting
Potency: [1d8 + Undeath Rank]
Focus Action [FT 3, REC 1]
Cost: 3 Resolve
Duration: 1 Phase or until dismissed, disrupted, or you stop possessing the object.
Upkeep: Free action, spend 2 Resolve and increase the duration of this scourge by 1 Phase.
Requirement: You must be Incorporeal or have a Projected Form.
Range: 5ft
Target: One unattended inanimate object within range that is Medium Size or smaller.
Effect: You force yourself into the target, Possessing and animating it (It is now treated as a mindless construct that cannot take actions on its own). The target can use any of your movement modes. Additionally, the target shares your attributes and defenses and is granted 30 temporary hitpoints. If the target looses all its temporary hitpoints, you are automatically expelled from the object and this power ends (the object is usually left unharmed, though the GM may decide otherwise). Additionally, if you ever stop possessing the target, this power ends. While possessing the target you may use the following special action:
Animated Slam [Lunge, Charge, Grapple, Opportunity]
Standard Action [REC 7]
Effect: The object animates and attacks a nearby opponent. Make an attack:
Target: One adjacent creature
Attack: Corruption + 2 vs. AC
Hit: 2d8 + Undeath Might damage of a type appropriate to the type of object possessed (a sword deals slashing damage, a chair deals bludgeoning damage, etc).
Special: If the target is a weapon, you may use its Armor Negation and Critical for the attack.
Special: You can only possess one creature at a time.
Augment, Greater Slam
[Undeath Rank 6, Stacking]
Stacking [Rank 6, 8, 10, etc]: This augment may be used multiple times, limited by your Undeath Rank.
Effect: Increase the damage dealt by the Animated Slam by 1d8.
Master Augment, Resilient Animation
[Undeath Rank 5, Stacking]
Stacking [Rank 5, 6, 7, etc]: This augment may be used multiple times, limited by your Undeath Rank.
Effect: Increase the number of temporary hitpoints granted to the target by 10.
Master Augment, Larger Animation
[Undeath Rank 5]
Cost: 2 Resolve
Effect: You may now target an object of Large Size. If you do, change the Animated Slam damage from d8's to d10's.
