Focus: A Tiny Bell intricately inscribed with warding runes [value: 50gp]
Cost: 1 Resolve Allocation that cannot be recovered until the Alarm is dismissed.
Cast Time: 1 phase
Duration: Until dismissed, dispelled, disrupted, or the Tiny Bell is damaged or removed from the area.
Area of Effect: 40ft diameter burst, centered on you
Effect: As you complete the ritual, the silver wire stretches impossibly thin, encircling the perimeter of the area, then disappears. The tiny bell goes quiet and no longer rings with motion. The area is now warded against intrusion.
  • Each time a creature of tiny or larger size enters or touches the area, the Alarm triggers and the tiny bell rings loudly for 2 rounds, alerting all creatures within the area that the perimeter has been breached.
  • Sleeping creatures in the area are automatically awakened.
  • At the time of creation, you may designate specific individuals that may pass through the area without triggering the alarm.
  • Additionally, you may designate a password that when spoken disables the alarm for one moment.
  • Alternatively, you may remove the clasp of the bell during the ritual to create a mental alarm. When the alarm is triggered the bell does not sound, instead, the creature carrying the clasp receives a mental alarm (if the creature is sleeping, it wakes automatically). The alarm does not function if the clasp is not carried by a creature or if the clasp and bell are on different planes.
