Components: Silver paint. 1 gp value for every 5' square needed
Focus: A circle of holy oil laid upon the floor (any size, but must be large enough to contain the creature).
Cost: 3 Resolve Allocation while circle remains active
Prep Time: 1 phase
Cast Time: 1 moment
Effect: You say a prayer over the holy oil before laying it in a circle upon the floor. Your final incantations activate the circle, and when a Celestial creature enters the circle it ignites with a holy flame. Any Celestial creature contained within the active circle is trapped and cannot exit (the target is considered Anchored and Confined). Alternatively, a Celestial creature can be summoned into the circle, immediately trapping it.
While the creature may still bring physical harm to anyone within its reach without stepping out of the circle, it cannot affect creatures outside the circle with ranged powers or abilities.
The Celestial remains trapped until the ritual is dispelled, dismissed, or the circle is disturbed, damaged, or defaced. Additionally, a creature trapped within the circle may be Banished or Dismissed to its home plane. While trapped, the Celestial cannot affect the circle in any way.
Celestials are infrequently trapped by such methods, and therefore are unlikely to be wary. However, beware the wrath of one you have trapped, as they are sure to carry a grudge when they've been let out.
