Description: The Curse of Frailty rips fortitude and heartiness from its victim. The weight of death looms over the victim, and in moments of perfect stillness, victims often hear death's whispers taunting them. Victims of this curse suffer injury more readily and mere flesh wounds wrack their body with devastation.
Caster Considerations: A caster with a CON score of 7 or less reduces the effects of backlash by one degree.
Victim Considerations: A victim with a CON score of 7 or less, or that is considered unusually frail, is immune to the effects of the curse.
Target: One Living Creature
Effect: The victim's body becomes frail, suffering injuries more frequently and experiencing a reduced hitpoint total. Upon completion of the curse, the victim is momentarily wracked with pain as its maximum hitpoints are reduced. The victim's current hitpoint total is reduced to this maximum but otherwise remains unchanged. Additionally, the victim's Healing Value remains unchanged.
Minor Curse: (Intensity: 1-5, Duration: 3 Days): The victim's hitpoint maximum is reduced by 10% and it suffers a -2 penalty to Resilience checks.
Lesser Curse: (Intensity: 6-15, Duration: 1 month): The victim's hitpoint maximum is reduced by 25% and it suffers a -4 penalty to Resilience checks.
Moderate Curse: (Intensity: 16-25, Duration: 1 year): The victim's hitpoint maximum is reduced by 50% and it suffers a -6 penalty to Resilience checks. Additionally, any time that the victim takes damage beyond its Healing Value, it must make a Injury Resilience Check or suffer an Injury.
Greater Curse: (Intensity: 26+, Duration: Permanent): The victim's hitpoint maximum is reduced by 75% and it suffers a -8 penalty to Resilience checks. Additionally, any time that the victim takes damage, it must make a Injury Resilience Check or suffer an Injury.
Breaking the Curse: Pulverizing the salt crystal causes the curse to end immediately.
