Giant Spider, Small

Giant Spider, Small
Level 1 (+1)
"Quiet ...nobody make a sound ...I knew we should have brought more torches. The walls ...I think they’re moving"
——Trapped Explorer
Smaller than other giant spiders, but still large enough to take down a humanoid child, gnome, or halfling, these creatures are most dangerous in numbers. These are usually the young of adult giant spiders, and thus can be found in much larger numbers. They otherwise look and behave like other spiders, preferring dark, cool areas where they can trap prey with their webbing and then feed on them at their leisure. The hungering young of Giant Spiders have not yet become territorial, and have no qualms about sharing meals, often times swarming over a trapped victim to drain it of nutrients in a horrific fashion.
