The Strangle Vine is a plant with an insidious nature, although it has no actual will of its own. This plant resembles a heavy, thick, green-brown plant vine with a slimy consistency, and is found mostly deep within humid caves or jungles with exceptionally aggressive or primitive wildlife. In order to survive in such harsh territory, even the vegetation was required to gain a predatory acumen. The vine simply lies in weight along any surface, detecting nearby motion from land based creatures, then reaches out, wrapping itself along any exposed limb or body part it can. Should the victim be unable to escape, the vine will slowly tighten to the point of crushing the creature to death. If it does escape it can expend its energy by flailing about in an attempt to batter its prey before it can recover.
