Creation
Within a Spiral Crucible etched with the Sigils of Hana, distill vitriol into aqua regia as violet smoke curls from the vessel. Lace the liquid with powdered brimstone until it smolders like a dying star. Whisper a binding prayer as gold dust is scattered across the surface, for without it the solution will devour even its container. Seal immediately in reinforced crystal engraved with the Rune of Shara, and bury in black sand until cooled.
Ingredients: Distilled Vitriol (rare, 10 gp), Aqua Regia (rare, 35 gp), Powdered Brimstone (uncommon, 2 gp), Gold Dust (rare, 1 gp), Reinforced Crystal Flask (rare, 10 gp)

Description

The Pyre of Hana is a violet-black liquid that smolders constantly, leaving smoky tendrils even through reinforced glass. It hums faintly, like a living thing straining against its vessel.

Lore

The Pyre is attributed to the arch-alchemist Hana, who sought to perfect a universal solvent. She succeeded too well: her own laboratory was consumed when a sealed vessel cracked, and Hana herself was lost in the violet fumes. Today, the Pyre is feared and outlawed in many cities, yet black markets whisper its name with awe. It is said to eat through any substance given time, leaving only ruin in its wake.
