Delayed

Your actions have been delayed, and you are subject to the following effects:

  • If you are recovering, increase your recovery time by the number of segments you are delayed.
  • If you are casting or focusing, increase the casting time of your power by the number of segments you are delayed. If your cast or focus is disrupted, your next turn occurs after the delay is completed.
  • You may still take immediate, interruptive, and reactive actions during this time.
  • Delayed, Dazed and Stunned effects do not stack, only the worse of the effects are taken.

Note: Unlike Dazed and Stunned, Delay is not affected by Daze Resistance.

Example

For example, if you are delayed [10] in segment 2, and then Dazed [3] in segment 4, the effects do not stack. Instead you are now Dazed for the remainder of the 10 segments, until segment 2 of the next round. In other words, the greatest Effect and the longest Duration are applied.

Simple Monsters

Each 2 segments of Delay equates to a 1 Action Point reduction to the monster's next turn.

Mob Monsters

The monster does nothing on its next turn.
