Description

This armor was first created by mortal clerics in ancient times when undead were being used as mindless infantry soldiers for would be conquerors. So great was the threat that many living warriors had to be outfitted with armor that could protect them from the essence of death. This enchantment cannot be made without the aid of goodly divine magic. It is rare to see an individual who does not serve a deity or wealthy king openly wearing Armor of Purification, because to do so without title almost implies that it was stolen or taken off a corpse.

Lore

Armor of Purification has been in existence for well over two thousand years, and is highly sought after by many great warriors, not only for its protective value, but also the distinction it brings. To own a suit of this enchanted armor includes the wearer in a long standing tradition of noble knights and heroes that serve the realm for a just and goodly cause, often to much fanfare. Several of these religious artifacts have even been stolen in long past periods of history, then resurface as a family "heirloom" on the other side of the world several hundred years later.
