Lore

The problem with tracking the creation of the Ring of Nondetection is that most people who own one prefer not to communicate a lot of information. What is known is that it was most likely created by a skilled Ritualist who some believe was also an exceptionally talented bard. A similar problem arises when tracking its involvement in history. Someone could claim a particular individual used a Ring of Nondetection at one point or another, but unless they identified the properties of the ring magically, there would be no way to know. It could be suggested that because there is very little evidence detailing the ring’s existence and use, therein lies the truth that it is indeed very real.
