Description

Upon first glance, the Rug of Entanglement is just an exquisitely woven, multicolored piece of floor decor. Intricate patterns dance across its surface, drawing the eye to study its complexity. But the rug's true beauty (or danger) lies in its enchantment. When activated, the rug's threads writhe and twist, snaring those who dare tread upon it. Bound by the rug, the unlucky victim finds themselves immobilized by the seemingly harmless floor covering, until the magic is deactivated or they manage to escape its cunningly woven grasp.

Lore

Initially created by the mischievous wizard, Fabricius the Tangled, the Rug of Entanglement is an example of magical practical jokes taken a step too far. Fabricius, known for his passion for carpets and tapestries, crafted the rug to deter thieves from his private study. The rug, woven from threads dipped in the essence of a tangler beast, gained a life of its own. To this day, it continues to fulfill its original purpose in the hands of many a trickster and protector.
