Description

The Serpent’s Fang is a viscous looking heavy steel shield made to look like the hide of a massive snake. At the center of the shield is the particularly cruel looking open maw of a snake’s head with 4 sharp teeth protruding slightly outwards, serving as a Shield Spike. The eyes of the ‘head’ are piercing and predatory, seeming to follow any would be attacker wherever they move.

Lore

Crafted as a tithe for the Snake Lord and his cult of serpent worshipers by a subjugated master armor smith. The scales of the shield along with the head are made from the body of an actual giant serpent, the shield retaining the will of the beast; always hungry, always hunting. Unfortunately for the Snake Lord, that serpent had been his prized pet, its slaughter and ‘regifting’ being the armorsmith’s last act of defiance against his cruel master before his bloody and painful execution.
