Grapple

Grapple
Basic Physical Maneuver [Innate, Grapple]
Prerequisites: Physical Rank 1
Standard Action [REC 6]
Range: Touch
Target: One creature within Reach
Effect: When all else fails, most combatants prefer to restrain their target if they cannot kill them. Choose one of the following abilities involved in Grappling with an opponent.
Grab [Lunge]
Effect: You try to grab your opponent, hampering their movements. Make an attack:
Range: Melee Touch
Target: One Creature
Melee Attack P: Melee vs. Touch
Hit: Make a secondary attack:
Melee Attack: Grapple (+4 if the target is grabbing you) vs. Grapple
Hit: The target is Grabbed.
Special: If the target takes an opportunity attack on you from the primary attack, and that attack hits, your primary attack automatically misses. Alternatively, if the target is grabbing you, you automatically succeed the primary attack and you do not Provoke.

Escape Grab [Pin]
Effect: You attempt to break free from an opponent that has you grabbed. Make a single Grapple check and compare it to all opponents that have you Grabbed (suffer a -4 penalty if you are pinned). If you succeed against an opponent, it is no longer grabbing you. If you succeed against all opponents, you are no longer grabbed by any of them and may choose to Shift 5ft. If you are also grabbing an opponent, and choose to Shift, the opponent is automatically released from your grab.

Damaging Grapple
Effect: You squeeze and wrench your opponent into submission. Make an attack:
Target: Creature you're grabbing
Melee Attack: Grapple vs. Grapple
Hit: Deal damage to your opponent as if you had used an Unarmed Weapon and hit with a Melee Basic Attack. Change the recovery time of this power to the Weapon Speed of the unarmed weapon.

Positioning Grapple
Effect: You use your hold on the opponent to drag them to a new location. Make an attack:
Target: Creature you're grabbing or creature grabbing you
Melee Attack: Grapple vs. Grapple
Hit: You move up to 1/2 your skirmish speed and, if you have the opponent grabbed, you pull the opponent to a space adjacent to you. An opponent grabbing you (who is not grabbed by you) may choose to either release you from the Grab or to be pulled.
Special: If you are grabbed by more than one opponent, you must succeed the grapple check against all opponents to successfully move.

Disarming Grapple
Effect: You attempt to wrestle a small item away from your opponent. Make an attack:
Target: Creature you're grabbing
Melee Attack: Grapple vs. Grapple
Hit: You may take a small item, such as a weapon, pouch, or other loosely attached item, from the target.
