Effect: You form millions of softly glowing counter-spelling particles in the air around you, then pull them in to rest on your body, creating a shimmering armor of magical retaliation. For the duration of this spell, you are considered to have Magic Resistance equal to [1d10 + Eldritch Rank]. Additionally, you may use the following action:

Limitation: This action is limited to once per round
Trigger: You are targeted by a Magical power that does not affect an area (this occurs before you check your Magic Resistance).
Effect: Make an opposed potency check against the triggering effect:
  • You lose: You are affected by the power normally, which automatically bypasses your magic resistance (granted by this spell or otherwise).
  • You win: You are not affected by the spell and the power is reflected back to its source (as if you had cast the power on the source, GM rules final effect).
  • You win by 10 or more: All targets of the triggering power are not affected by the power, and the power is reflected back to the source (as if you had cast the power on the source, GM rules final effect).
Special: If the effect is not subject to Magic Resistance, you automatically fail.
