  • Heat: The Salamander's body produces so much heat that its touch alone deals 1d6 Fire Damage and it transfers this heat to its weapons. When a Salamander deals damage with a weapon or melee attack or on a successful grapple, it deals 1d6 fire damage.
  • Natural Grappler: Salamander gains +4 racial bonus to Grapple Check. Also, while grappled by a small or smaller creature, they do not grant an advantage nor are they limited to using Grapple actions.

Broodlings are the juvenile forms of the Salamander. They are tested in battle before they mature and only those that prove themselves worthy are allowed to mature and enter the ranks of the Salamander armies. Those unworthy either perish in battle or are killed before they reach maturity.

Description: The juvenile form of Salamanders, these Broodlings are used as foot soldiers with little care as to whether they live or die in battle. Should they survive long enough to grow, then they are elevated to a status worth noticing among their own kind.
