Components: A single drop of blood from the caster
Focus: A totem that is keyed to the plane you wish to contact. [Value is 50 gp for an elemental plane and increases by 50gp for each plane the further the totem is removed from the elemental planes.

Duration: 1 Phase
Effect: You send your mind to another plane of existence (an Elemental Plane or some plane farther removed) in order to receive advice and information from powers there. The powers reply in a language you understand, but they often resent such contact and give only one word responses to the questions asked ("yes", "no", "irrelevant," etc). Each time you ask a question, make a Ritual Casting check [DC 30] to compel an honest answer. If the DC is failed the powers may choose to tell the truth, lie, or refrain from answering. If the check is failed by 10 or more the ritual ends prematurely and you suffer a backlash of psychic energy and must make an Injury Check(Psychic) at a -20 penalty.
